Betting firms forced to ‘directly fund the NHS’ through new levy says after record fine
Whitehall officials are planning to enforce standardised payments to be paid by betting firms to organisations that offer "treatment for those harmed by gambling" in an attempt to "level the playing field" after years of some firms donating insignificant sums.
